“T-I-T-A-N-S, Titans, Titans, Titans,” just doesn’t have the same ring to it, does it?
Wearing throwback uniforms (totally confusing me for a few minutes), the New York Jets still couldn’t pull a win Sunday over the Philadelphia Eagles. The final score was 16-9.
As one avid fan to whom I am related text messaged me from the Meadowlands late in the game, “Titans. Old name. Still suck.”
But this is life as a Jets fan sometimes.

If you saw my “About Me” page, you know that I live next to a construction pit that has given rise to many headaches and sleepless mornings to nearby residents.
(Eventually I will relate the whole story, including pictures of the past year.)
Now that the tennis courts across Columbus Avenue have been torn up I wonder how long it will be until the digging and blasting starts up again.
I also wonder if the equipment will start running to “warm up” at 6 a.m. or 6:15 a.m. this winter as it did last winter. That’s an air and noise pollution violation.
Anyway, here’s a picture from my window of the rising structure where the diner used to be. It will be either a parking level or underground retail level.
